NOVI — Hundreds of young people and their families gathered Oct. 27 at the Church of the Holy Family in Novi to listen to dynamic preaching, sing uplifting songs of praise, and, most importantly, to worship Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
The annual "Come, Encounter Christ!" event invited middle and high school students to experience the radical love of Jesus in an atmosphere steeped in prayer. Along with preaching from Fr. Drew Mabee, a priest in solidum at the Northwest Wayne 1 Family of Parishes, which includes Holy Family, the evening included opportunities for confession.
Young people knelt in prayer as Fr. Mabee held up the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance, blessing those gathered and making the sign of the cross.
