On Wednesday, Sept. 16, Archbishop Weisenburger welcomed Archbishop Gabriele G. Caccia, apostolic nuncio to the United States, for a brief visit to Detroit, including a tour of the Blessed Solanus Casey Center and Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Archbishop Caccia, who was appointed as U.S. nuncio by Pope Leo XIV in March, visited the tomb of Blessed Solanus Casey and spoke with local Catholic leaders and seminarians during his visit. The nuncio — who serves as the pope's ambassador to the churches in the United States — also received a blessing with a relic of the True Cross during his visit to the Solanus Casey Center.

On Sunday, Sept. 13, Archbishop Weisenburger celebrated the 75th anniversary of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish in Beverly Hills with a special Mass, followed by a beautiful reception with parishioners. Archbishop Weisenburger was joined by Our Lady Queen of Martyrs alumnus Fr. Tim Birney, who currently serves as moderator of the curia for the Archdiocese of Detroit, and other clergy from the parish. Our Lady Queen of Martyrs was founded in 1951, and the current church building opened in 1965. Throughout the subsequent decades, the parish has grown, adding a school in 1953 and a kindergarten and preschool in the 1980s.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, Archbishop Weisenburger celebrated Mass with students, faculty and alumni of De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren in honor of the school's 100th anniversary. Sponsored by the Christian Brothers, the school's legacy of faith, academic excellence and service was on full display during the celebration, which took place outside on the St. John Baptist de La Salle Stadium football field. After Mass, guests joined a reception and toured the school, which included a showcase of its new Bloomberg Center & Finance Lab.

On Monday, Sept. 7, Archbishop Weisenburger celebrated Mass at Most Holy Trinity Parish in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood before greeting workers during Detroit's annual Labor Day Parade. During his homily, Archbishop Weisenburger preached about the Church's teachings on the dignity of human labor. Following Mass, Archbishop Weisenburger and parishioners gathered for the annual Labor Day Parade down Michigan Avenue, one of the largest Labor Day celebrations in the country.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, Archbishop Weisenburger celebrated Mass to mark the feast of St. Teresa of Calcutta with the Detroit-based Missionaries of Charity at St. Gabriel Parish in southwest Detroit. The Mass at St. Gabriel included a first-class relic of St. Teresa, who was canonized 10 years ago on Sept. 4, 2016. After receiving a call from Jesus to serve the poorest of the poor, Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950. Today, the order includes more than 5,750 sisters worldwide.
