PLYMOUTH — Three Catholic League teams will be in MHSAA hockey final four competition this week.
Novi Detroit Catholic Central will be attempting to repeat as Division 1 champ. Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice last celebrated Division 2 honors in 2017.
In Division 3, Riverview Gabriel Richard will be seeking to return to the finals for the first time since 2001.
All games will be played at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth.
The season-long top-ranked Shamrocks (21-5) play Byron Center (18-10-1) from the Grand Rapids area in a semifinal match at 5 p.m. Friday, March 13.
The winner plays either Saginaw Heritage (25-3) or Howell (19-10), the other semifinalists, at 7 p.m. the next day for the Division 1 trophy.
Brother Rice (21-6-2) will be challenged by Marquette (24-4) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12. The other semifinalists are Hartland (21-6-2) and Trenton (21-6-1). The Division 2 title game will be played at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14.
Gabriel Richard (20-8) and Midland Dow (22-6) play a Division 3 semifinal game at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13. The winner meets the winner of the other semifinalist game, Calumet (22-5-1) vs. Detroit Country Day (23-3), at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
