Sr. Therese Reynolds, OP, baptized Mary Jane Therese and also known as Sr. Therese Marcel, died July 5 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian. She was 82 and in her 63rd year in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

Sr. Reynolds was born in Norway, Mich., to Montague and Therese (Sciez) Reynolds. She earned degrees in music from Siena Heights College (University) in Adrian and Michigan State University.

Sr. Reynolds spent 22 years ministering in Detroit, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, in Illinois and in Wisconsin. In Michigan, she taught at Holy Name, Detroit (1954); Dickinson Area Catholic, Iron Mountain (1970-78); St. Mary and St. Joseph, Iron Mountain (1978-84); and served as coordinator of liturgy and music at All Saints Parish in Gladstone.

A funeral Mass was to take place in the Congregation cemetery in Adrian.
