Sr. M. Juanita Gwisdela, SSJ-TOSF, 79, beloved daughter of Otillia (nee Rickert) and Raymond Gwisdela (both deceased), died May 14.Sr. Gwisdela is survived by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis, with whom she shared her life for 61 years.
Born Jan. 13, 1939, Sr. Gwisdela ministered as a teacher in Connecticut, Ohio and for more than 30 years in Michigan, 25 of which were spent at St. John the Baptist Parish in Dearborn Heights, where she retired in 2012.
Visitation took place at St. Joseph Chapel at Marymount Congregational Home, 12215 Granger Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio, on May 21, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment took place in Calvary Cemetery on May 22.
