Sr. Ann Seraphim Schenk, OP, formerly Doris Schenk, died June 24 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian. She was 100 years old and in her 81st year in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

Sr. Schenk was born in Belleville, Ill. to Henry and Linda (Hoff) Schenk. She earned degrees from Siena Heights College (University) in Adrian, and spent 51 years in the ministry of elementary and music education in Michigan, Illinois and Arizona.

In Michigan, she taught at St. Gabriel, Detroit (1939-47); St. Theresa, Detroit (1951-59); St. Alphonsus, Deerfield (1959-60); St. Mary, Chelsea (1960-66); St. Joseph, St. Joseph (1966-67); St. Elizabeth, Tecumseh (1967-68, as principal); St. Francis Assisi, Ann Arbor (1968-70); and St. Alphonsus, Dearborn (1970-72).

Funeral Mass was offered in St. Catherine Chapel in Adrian on June 28. Rite of Committal was to be in the Congregation cemetery.
