DETROIT — On Holy Thursday, the Church commemorated Christ's institution of the Eucharist and the priesthood during the Last Supper.

The faithful gathered April 17 at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament for the Mass of the Lord's Supper with Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger as celebrant.

As the Church enters into the three holiest days of the year, local Catholics are praying for a deeper understanding of the mystery of Christ's Passion and that we would share more deeply in the joy of His Resurrection.
