DEARBORN — Nearly 800 women gathered Oct. 29 for the 14th Archdiocese of Detroit Hispanic Women's Conference for a day of prayer, fellowship and an encounter with the mercy of Jesus.

The event, which took place at the Performing Arts Center of Dearborn, featured heartfelt talks by Marcela Palos, a prominent family consultant originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, and Daniela Ruelas of Guadalajara, México, an international presenter of the "Fire Intercessors" ministry.

The day also included socialization, food, music, reflection, opportunities for reconciliation, adoration and Mass. The music ministry of Última Rhema set the tone, lifting spirits with their inspiring rendition of “We Have So Much to Give Thanks For.”

After the conferences, the participants enjoyed a meal and had the opportunity to approach a first-degree relic of Blessed María Concepción Cabrera de Armida, mother of nine children, to pray and ask for her intercession.
