Former cleric Jude Ellinghausen passed on from this life on Dec. 11, 2023, at the age of 91.
Jude Ellinghausen was born on July 18, 1932, and was ordained for the Archdiocese of Detroit on June 7, 1958. In 2002, he was permanently removed from active ministry according to the norms of the Dallas Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People; in 2016, he was dismissed from the clerical state.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at Marsh Funeral Chapel, 2675 Main St., Marlette, Michigan, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.
Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9851 Main Street, Clifford, Michigan, on Thursday, Dec. 21 followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow immediately in St. Patrick Cemetery in Clifford, Michigan.
