May They Rest in Peace: Fr. Daniel C. Complo

Fr. Daniel C. Complo passed from this life on Feb. 27, 2025, at the age of 96.

Fr. Complo was born on June 7, 1928, in Monroe, Michigan and ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on June 5, 1954.

Fr. Complo served as vicar for the Detroit/Grosse Pointe Vicariate; pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Harper Woods, and St. Martin of Tours Parish, Detroit; parochial vicar at St. Matthew Parish, Detroit, Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Detroit, St. Elizabeth Parish, Detroit, and St. Catherine Parish, Detroit. He also served as priest chairman of the 1978 Archdiocesan Development Fund. Fr. Complo was granted senior status on July 1, 1998.

Fr. Complo is predeceased by his parents, Daniel Complo and Mary (née Sauro) Complo, and brother Sonny Complo. Fr. Complo is survived by his sister, Sr. Jannita Complo, IHM.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 502 West Front Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161, from 2-7 p.m., with a Vigil Service and Rosary at 5:30 p.m.

Fr. Complo will lie in state on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church from 10-11 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
