May They Rest in Peace: Deacon Donald P. Quigley

Deacon Donald P. Quigley passed on from this life on Nov. 11, 2023, at the age of 78. Deacon Quigley is survived by his beloved wife, Punay.

Deacon Quigley was born May 2, 1945. He studied at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan, earning his law degree and passing the bar exam. He also served as a social worker for Wayne County and various hospitals, and ran a VA outpost.

Deacon Quigley was ordained to the permanent diaconate on Oct. 2, 1999. He served his first assignment at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Northville until 2011, followed by an assignment at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Farmington until his retirement in 2022.

Deacon Quigley’s visitation will take place on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave., Novi, MI 48375. His funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m., immediately following visitation, at the same location.

Deacon Quigley’s committal service will immediately follow his funeral service, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W 10 Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48033, in the deacons' section.
