DETROIT — Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron led hundreds of Catholics in a two-mile Eucharistic procession June 19, the feast of Corpus Christi, from the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament to Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

The public display of faith in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist kicked off the Archdiocese of Detroit's participation in a three-year National Eucharistic Revival, spearheaded by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in response to declining belief among Catholics.

As they processed, several marchers held hand fans promoting I AM HERE, the archdiocese's joint effort with Hallow to promote stories of the power of Eucharistic adoration.

The procession ended with benediction at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.
