Guest writer: Bishop Foley ends season with a bang!

Bishop Foley Catholic High School wrapped up the spring sports season with a bang! The Ventures captured two State Championship Titles. The BFC Baseball team was crowned the Division 3 State Champions and the Girls Soccer team won the Division 4 State Championship. Bishop Foley is extremely proud of these teams and all of the hard work they put towards making their dreams a reality.

The BFC Baseball team won their first ever State Championship. The Ventures beat Bridgman 8-2 in the final game, securing the championship and a place in Foley history. The team finished with a record of 39-3. Congratulations to Jeff Schalk, Bradley Schalk, Brian Bayliss, Bradley Baldwin, Austin Lukaschewski, Elliott Hall, Daniel Zuchowski, John Sheehan, Bradley Jones, Marc Aiuto, William Malak, Preston Mick, Brett Sunde, Cole Turczyn, Luke Ortel, Garrett Schilling, James Wells and Coach Buster Sunde.
The Foley Girls Soccer team beat Lansing Christian 2-1 in the championship game securing the title. This year’s state title gives the BFC Girls Soccer team their 12th in program history and sets a state record for most championships won. Congratulations to Cynthia Claucherty, Rachael Kroll, Lauren Cross, Kelsey Crossman, Anna Abraham, Danielle Partyka, Rachel Stolz, Myra Lackey, Rachel Sherman, Megan VanFleteren, Alexis Rushton, Ashley Adomatis, Anna Sinagoga, Cydney McChesney, Sarah Uhlarik, Katelyn Needham, Morgan Kuzemka, Amanda Saad, Erin Weide, Ali Mancini, Erin Mullen, Cara Stempky, Krystal Starling, Dana Ries, Rachel Fischer and Coach Aaron Miller.
