May They Rest in Peace: Sr. Charlotte Francis Moser, OP

Sr. Charlotte Francis Moser, OP, baptized Mary Irene Moser, died on Friday, January 22, 2021, at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Michigan. She was 86 years of age and in the 70th year of her religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

Sister was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Francis and Charlotte (Mazur) Moser. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Adrian and received a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in History and a Master of Teaching degree in Elementary Education, both from Siena Heights College (University) in Adrian. 

 A Word Service will be offered in St. Catherine Chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Prayers of Committal will be held in the back of St. Catherine Chapel.

Sister ministered for 47½ years in elementary education, religious education, and pastoral ministry in Elgin, Flossmoor and Calumet City, Illinois; Dearborn, Caro, Detroit and Munising, Michigan; Oakland, Lemon Grove, Victorville and Twentynine Palms, California; and Arroyo Seco and Los Lunas, New Mexico. Sister became a resident at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian in 2009.

Sr. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Moser. She is survived by a sister, Sandra (William) Kent of Chicago, Illinois; and three brothers: Frank (Dorothy) Moser, Jr. of Bloomington, Indiana; Jerome (Karen) Moser of Mount Morris, Michigan; and Walter Moser of Statesville, North Carolina; loving nieces and nephews and her Adrian Dominican Sisters.

Due to COVID-19 mitigation protocols, the Dominican Life Center is closed until further notice to all guests or visitors. All are welcome to participate in Sister’s wake and funeral via live stream at http://www.adriandominicans.org/LiveStream.aspx 

The Vigil Prayer will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, in St. Catherine Chapel. A Word Service will be offered in St. Catherine Chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Prayers of Committal will be held in the back of St. Catherine Chapel.
