Deacon Richard Conlin passed from this life on Aug. 13 at the age of 91.

Deacon Conlin was born Jan. 31, 1925, and ordained a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese of Detroit on Jan. 20, 1972. He served at St. Benedict Parish, Highland Park, and assisted at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Farmington.

A funeral Mass for Deacon Conlin was celebrated Aug. 19 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Farmington.

Deacon Conlin was predeceased by his wife, Patricia, and his sisters, Patricia Teiper and Sister Margaret, SSJ. He is survived by his children, Christopher (Jill); Daniel (Jackie); Thomas; Mary (Ronald) Kneiser; Elizabeth; and William (Crystal). He is also survived by his sister, Eva Urbank.
