The girls didn’t fare much better than the boys in the Catholic League vs. Macomb Area Conference Challenge.
The CHSL girls squads were 7-10 compared to 7-11 for the boys a week earlier.
The three-year standings: CHSL boys lead 15-13; the girls trail 12-15.

Wixom St. Catherine 48, Fraser 45 (OT): Maryann Alexander converted three free throws to tie the game with 22 seconds remaining to send it into overtime. Lauren Areana and Lizzy Turek each made a free throw with 11 seconds left in OT for the win. Alexander led the Stars with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Turek added 16 points.
Madison Heights Bishop Foley 56, Sterling Heights Stevenson 39: Kayla Moore had 23 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Ventures. Melanie Moore scored 14 points.
Allen Park Cabrini held on to beat St. Clair Shores Lake Shore 31-26.
Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood defeated Warren Fitzgerald 38-34 in overtime.
Royal Oak Shrine beat Marysville 40-24.
Dearborn Divine Child outlasted St. Clair Shores Lakeview 44-41.
Bloomfield Hills Marian had too much for Grosse Pointe North 69-47.
