Fr. David Buersmeyer granted senior status, effective July 1, 2023. Fr. Buersmeyer previously served as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Holy Name Parish, Birmingham; Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Beverly Hills; St. Owen Parish, Bloomfield Hills; St. Regis Parish, Bloomfield Hills, that form West Maple Family of Parishes.
Fr. Janusz Iwan granted senior status, effective July 1, 2023. Fr. Iwan previously served as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Mother of Divine Mercy Parish, Detroit; Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish, Hamtramck; St. Florian Parish, Hamtramck; St. Hyacinth Parish, Detroit; St. John Paul II Parish, Detroit, that form Genesis Vicariate Family 1.
Fr. Ronald Jozwiak granted senior status, effective July 1, 2023. Fr. Jozwiak previously served as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Our Lady of Refuge Parish, Orchard Lake; Prince of Peace Parish, West Bloomfield; St. Benedict Parish, Waterford, that form Waters of Light Family of Parishes.
Fr. Julian Kaczowka, S.Chr., with the concurrence of his provincial superior, Fr. Jacek Walkiewicz, S.Chr., appointed full-time priest support to the In Solidum team of priests that care for Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, Sterling Heights; SS. Cyril and Methodius Parish, Sterling Heights; St. Jane Frances de Chantal Parish, Sterling Heights; St. Rene Goupil Parish, Sterling Heights, that form Central Macomb Vicariate Family 2, effective Sept. 1, 2023. Fr. Kaczowka will live and serve primarily at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, Sterling Heights. Fr. Kaczowka previously served outside of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Fr. Gary Michalik granted senior status, effective July 1, 2023. Fr. Michalik previously served as moderator of Pope Francis Family of Parishes, and member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Our Lady of Victory Parish, Northville; St. Colette Parish, Livonia; St. Edith Parish, Livonia; St. Kenneth Parish, Plymouth, that form Pope Francis Family of Parishes.
Fr. Jacek Nowak, S.Chr., with the concurrence of his provincial superior, Fr. Jacek Walkiewicz, S.Chr., appointed full-time priest support to the In Solidum priests that care for Mother of Divine Mercy Parish, Detroit; Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish, Hamtramck; St. Florian Parish, Hamtramck; St. Hyacinth Parish, Detroit; St. John Paul II Parish, Detroit, that form Genesis Vicariate Family 1, effective Sept. 15, 2023. Fr. Nowak will serve primarily at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish, Hamtramck and St. Hyacinth Parish, Detroit, residing at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish, Hamtramck. Fr. Nowak previously served outside of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
