Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:
Fr. Sean Bonner appointed moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor St. Mary Parish, Wayne; St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy Parish, Westland; St. Richard Parish, Westland; St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Garden City; that form Nankin Family of Parishes, effective Oct. 6, 2023. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor St. Mary Parish, Wayne; St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy Parish, Westland; St. Richard Parish, Westland; St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Garden City; that form Nankin Family of Parishes. Father Bonner is serving primarily at St. Mary Parish, Wayne.
Fr. Patrick Gonyeau released to join the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Fr. Gonyeau is currently serving as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Corpus Christi Parish, Detroit; Presentation-Our Lady of Victory Parish, Detroit; SS. Peter and Paul (Westside) Parish, Detroit; St. Juan Diego Parish, Detroit; St. Mary of Redford Parish, Detroit; St. Scholastica Parish, Detroit, that form One in the Spirit Family of Parishes. Fr. Gonyeau currently has primary responsibility for Corpus Christi parish.
Fr. James Lowe, CC, with the concurrence of his general superior, Fr. Roger Vandenakker, CC, is appointed to provide primary responsibility for Corpus Christi Parish, Detroit, in addition to having primary responsibility of St. Scholastica Parish, Detroit, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Fr. Lowe will continue to serve as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Corpus Christi Parish, Detroit; Presentation-Our Lady of Victory Parish, Detroit; SS. Peter and Paul (Westside) Parish, Detroit; St. Juan Diego Parish, Detroit; St. Mary of Redford Parish, Detroit; St. Scholastica Parish, Detroit, that form One in the Spirit Family of Parishes.
Fr. Mark Prill placed on administrative leave of absence effective Oct. 19, 2023. Fr. Prill currently serves as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Temperance; St. Joseph Parish, Erie; St. Anthony Parish, Temperance; that form Lumen Christi Family of Parishes.
