Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:
Fr. David Bechill’s appointment as Family-Pastor to the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, to serve the newly formed Downriver Vicariate Family 2 (Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Lincoln Park; Our Lady of the Scapular Parish, Wyandotte; St. Pius X Parish, Southgate; St. Vincent Pallotti Parish, Wyandotte), is rescinded effective July 1, 2021. Fr. Bechill continues to serve as pastor of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Lincoln Park.
Fr. James Bilot, appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will lead the newly formed SERF Vicariate Family 3 (St. Ambrose Parish, Grosse Pointe Park; St. Clare of Montefalco Parish, Grosse Pointe Park; St. Matthew Parish, Detroit; St. Paul on the Lake Parish, Grosse Pointe Farms), effective July 1, 2022. Fr. Bilot currently serves as pastor of St. Paul on the Lake Parish, Grosse Pointe Farms.
Fr. James Bjorum, appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will lead the newly formed SERF Vicariate Family 1 (Holy Innocents-St. Barnabas Parish, Roseville; St. Isaac Jogues Parish, St. Clair Shores; St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, St. Clair Shores; Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Clair Shores; St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, Roseville), effective July 1, 2022. Fr. Bjorum currently serves as pastor of Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Clair Shores.
Fr. James Commyn, appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will lead the newly formed SERF Vicariate Family 2 (St. Basil the Great Parish, Eastpointe; St. Joan of Arc Parish, St. Clair Shores; St. Lucy Parish, St. Clair Shores; Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Grosse Pointe Woods; St. Veronica Parish, Eastpointe), effective July 1, 2022. Fr. Commyn currently serves as pastor of St. Lucy Parish, St. Clair Shores.
Fr. James Grau, appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will lead the newly formed North Macomb Vicariate Family 3 (St. Clement of Rome Parish, Romeo; SS. John and Paul Parish, Washington Township; St. John Vianney Parish, Shelby Township), effective July 1, 2022. Fr. Grau currently serves as administrator of St. John Vianney Parish, Shelby Township.
Fr. John Kopson, appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will lead the newly formed Central Macomb Vicariate Family 3 (St. Anne Parish, Warren; St. Faustina Parish, Warren; Our Lady of Grace (Vietnamese) Parish, Warren; St. Louise de Marillac Parish, Warren; St. Mark Parish, Warren; St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Parish, Warren), effective July 1, 2022. Fr. Kopson currently serves as administrator of St. Anne Parish, Warren.
Fr. John A. Maksym, appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will lead the newly formed Central Macomb Vicariate Family 1 (San Francesco Parish, Clinton Township; St. Hubert Parish, Harrison Township; St. Louis Parish, Clinton Township; St. Peter Parish, Mount Clemens), effective July 1, 2022. Fr. Maksym currently serves as pastor of St. Peter Parish, Mount Clemens.
Fr. Arokiaselvam Nithiyaselvam, MSFS, with the concurrence of his Provincial Superior of the USA Vice-Province, Reverend Tomy J. Puliyan, MSFS, appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will lead the newly formed Central Macomb Vicariate Family 4 (St. Blase Parish, Sterling Heights; St. Ephrem Parish, Sterling Heights; St. Martin de Porres Parish, Warren; St. Michael Parish, Sterling Heights), effective July 1, 2022. Fr. Nithiyaselvam currently serves as administrator of St. Ephrem Parish, Sterling Heights.
