Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:
Fr. (John) Yongli Chen, with the concurrence of his ordinary, appointed full-time priest support to the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Waterford; St. Anne Parish, Ortonville; St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston; St. Rita Parish, Holly; that form Northwest Oakland Lakes Vicariate Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2023. Fr. Chen will live at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Waterford, under the mentorship of Fr. Scott Thibodeau. Fr. Chen is currently completing graduate studies outside of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Fr. John Shi, with the concurrence of his ordinary, appointed full-time priest support to the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Divine Child Parish, Dearborn; Sacred Heart Parish, Dearborn; St. Anselm Parish, Dearborn Heights; St. Linus Parish, Dearborn Heights; St. Sabina Parish, Dearborn Heights; that form Hope Renewed Family of Parishes, effective Aug. 1, 2023. Fr. Shi will live and serve primarily at Divine Child Parish and School, Dearborn, under the mentorship of Fr. Robert McCabe. Fr. Shi is currently completing graduate studies at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
