Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:
Fr. John Owusu-Achiaw, C.S.Sp., with the concurrence of his provincial, the Very Rev. Jeffrey Duiame, C.S.Sp., appointed administrator of St. Mary Parish (Greektown), effective May 1, 2021, whereupon this office will transfer on July 1, 2021, to that of family-pastor, as part of the In Solidum team of priests for the Renaissance Vicariate Family 1 (Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Detroit; Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Detroit; St. Aloysius Parish, Detroit; St. Mary Parish (Greektown), Detroit). Fr. Owusu-Achiaw is currently serving as pastor of St. Ambrose Parish, Chicago.
Fr. Casimir Nyaki, C.S.Sp., with the concurrence of his provincial, the Very Rev. Jeffrey Duiame, C.S.Sp., appointed associate pastor of St. Mary Parish (Greektown), effective May 1, 2021, whereupon this office will transfer on July 1, 2021, to that of family-parochial vicar, as part of the In Solidum team of priests for the Renaissance Vicariate Family 1 (Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Detroit; Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Detroit; St. Aloysius Parish, Detroit; St. Mary Parish (Greektown), Detroit). Fr. Nyaki is currently serving as administrator of St. Mary Parish (Greektown), Detroit.
Fr. Paul Graney appointed Family-Parochial Vicar in the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will serve the newly formed North Macomb Family 1 (St. Kieran Parish, Shelby Township; St. Lawrence Parish, Utica; St. Matthias Parish, Sterling Heights), serving primarily at St. Lawrence Parish under the supervision of Reverend Roman Pasieczny, effective July 1, 2021. Father Graney currently serves as Associate Pastor of Church of the Divine Child Parish, Dearborn.
Fr. Grayson Heenan appointed family-parochial vicar in the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will serve the newly formed Pontiac Vicariate Family 1 (St. Andrew Parish, Rochester; St. Irenaeus Parish, Rochester Hills; St. Mary of the Hills Parish, Rochester Hills), serving primarily at St. Andrew Parish under the supervision of Msgr. Michael Hrydziuszko, effective July 1, 2021. Fr. Heenan currently serves as associate pastor of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Pontiac.
Fr. Christopher Muer appointed associate pastor of St. Peter Parish, Mt. Clemens, effective July 1, 2021. Fr. Muer currently serves as associate pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Waterford.
Deacon John Dudek to be appointed family-parochial vicar in the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will serve the newly formed West Wayne Vicariate Family 1 (Church of the Divine Child Parish, Dearborn; Sacred Heart Parish, Dearborn; St. Anselm Parish, Dearborn Heights; St. Linus Parish, Dearborn Heights; St. Sabina Parish, Dearborn Heights), serving primarily at Church of the Divine Child Parish under the supervision of Fr. Robert McCabe, effective July 1, 2021. Deacon Dudek will be ordained to the priesthood on May 15, 2021.
Deacon Robert Voiland to be appointed family-parochial vicar in the In Solidum team of priests who, with the other priests of the team, will serve the newly formed Lakes Vicariate Family 1 (Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Waterford; St. Anne Parish, Ortonville; St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston; St. Rita Parish, Holly), serving primarily at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish under the supervision of Fr. Scott Thibodeau, effective July 1, 2021. Deacon Voiland will be ordained to the priesthood on May 15, 2021.
