Archdiocese of Detroit clergy appointments: Feb. 28, 2022

Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:

Fr. Terrence Kerner appointed temporary administrator of St. Alphonsus – St. Clement Parish, Dearborn, in addition to his current responsibilities as pastor of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Dearborn, effective Jan. 17, 2022. Fr. Kerner currently serves as pastor of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Dearborn.

Fr. John McKenzie to be appointed a member of the In Solidum team of priests who will pastor Christ the King Parish, Detroit; St. Charles Lwanga Parish, Detroit; St. Moses the Black Parish, Detroit; St. Peter Claver Parish, Detroit; St. Suzanne/Our Lady Gate of Heaven Parish, Detroit; that form Trinity Vicariate Family 2, effective July 1, 2022. Pending inclusion in the Family Priests’ Covenant, Fr. McKenzie will serve primarily at Christ the King Parish, Detroit. Fr. McKenzie currently serves as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica Parish, Royal Oak; St. Justin – St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Hazel Park; St. Mary Parish, Royal Oak; St. Vincent Ferrer Parish, Madison Heights, that form South Oakland Vicariate Family 4.
