Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:
Fr. John Bettin appointed a member of the In Solidum team of priests who will pastor National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica Parish, Royal Oak; St. Justin-St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Hazel Park; St. Mary Parish, Royal Oak; St. Vincent Ferrer Parish, Madison Heights; that form South Oakland Vicariate Family 4, effective July 1, 2023. Pending inclusion in the Family Priests’ Covenant, Fr. Bettin will serve primarily at National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica Parish, Royal Oak and as rector of the minor Basilica. Fr. Bettin currently serves as Priest In Solidum at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Waterford; St. Anne Parish, Ortonville; St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston; St. Rita Parish, Holly; that form Northwest Oakland Lakes Vicariate Family of Parishes, primarily serving at St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston.
Fr. Andrew Dawson appointed a member of the In Solidum team of priests who will pastor Our Lady of Refuge Parish, Orchard Lake; Prince of Peace Parish, West Bloomfield; St. Benedict Parish, Waterford; that form Waters of Light Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2023. Pending inclusion in the Family Priests’ Covenant, Fr. Dawson will serve primarily at Prince of Peace Parish, West Bloomfield. Fr. Dawson currently serves as Priest In Solidum at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, Grosse Pointe Woods; St. Basil the Great Parish, Eastpointe; St. Joan of Arc Parish, St. Clair Shores; St. Lucy Parish, St. Clair Shores; St. Veronica Parish, Eastpointe, that form SERF Vicariate Family 2, primarily serving at St. Joan of Arc Parish, St. Clair Shores.
Fr. John Dudek appointed a member of the In Solidum team of priests who will pastor Holy Name Parish, Birmingham; Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Beverly Hills; St. Owen Parish, Bloomfield Hills; St. Regis Parish, Bloomfield Hills, that form West Maple Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2023. Pending inclusion in the Family Priests’ Covenant, Fr. Dudek will live and serve at St. Regis Parish under the mentorship of the Moderator of the team of priests, Msgr. John Zenz. He will also have responsibility for Marian and Brother Rice High Schools. Fr. Dudek currently serves as Priest In Solidum at Divine Child Parish, Dearborn; Sacred Heart Parish, Dearborn; St. Anselm Parish, Dearborn Heights; St. Linus Parish, Dearborn Heights; St. Sabina Parish, Dearborn Heights, that form Hope Renewed Family of Parishes, primarily serving at Divine Child Parish, Dearborn.
