Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:
Fr. David Burgard appointed pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish, Monroe, effective July 1, 2019, in addition to his continuing responsibilities as pastor of St. Mary Parish, Monroe.
Fr. Wayne Epperley, C.S.Sp., with the concurrence of his superior, Fr. Jeffrey Douaime, appointed administrator of Holy Family Parish, Detroit, effective July 1, 2019, in addition to his continuing responsibilities as pastor of St. Mary Parish (Greektown), Detroit. Sacramental coverage will be provided by PIME priests, with the concurrence of Fr. Ken Mazur, PIME superior.
Fr. Susaikannu Esack, SAC, with the concurrence of his superior, Fr. Pedro Camilo Simoes, SAC, appointed associate pastor of St. Patrick Parish, White Lake, effective July 1, 2019, pending immigration clearance.
Fr. Giancarlo Ghezzi, PIME, with the concurrence of his superior, Fr. Ken Mazur, PIME, appointed associate pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish, Monroe, effective July 1, 2019, in addition to his continuing responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Mary Parish, Monroe.
Fr. Giuseppe Licciardi (Fr. Pino), of the Diocese of Monreale, Italy, has decided to conclude his pastorate effective June 30, 2019 and seek senior status. Fr. Licciardi is currently serving as pastor of Holy Family Parish, Detroit.
Fr. Michael Nkachukwu appointed pastor of St. Jude Parish, Detroit, effective July 1, 2019, in addition to his continuing responsibilities as pastor of Our Lady Queen of Heaven – Good Shepherd Parish, Detroit and St. Raymond – Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Detroit.
Fr. Cornelius Okeke, with the concurrence of his bishop, Most Reverend Paulinus C. Ezeokafor, Diocese of Awka, Nigeria, appointed pastor of SS. Andrew and Benedict Parish, Detroit and St. Mary Magdalene Parish, Melvindale, effective July 1, 2019, in addition to his continuing responsibilities as pastor of St. André Bessette Parish, Ecorse.
Fr. Paul Odilichukwu Onyebuchi, with the concurrence of his bishop, Most Reverend Paulinus C. Ezeokafor, Diocese of Awka, Nigeria, appointed associate pastor of SS. Andrew and Benedict Parish, Detroit and St. Mary Magdalene Parish, Melvindale, and associate pastor of St. André Bessette Parish, Ecorse, effective July 1, 2019, pending immigration clearance. Fr. Onyebucki is currently serving as the manager/administrator of a diocesan school in Nigeria.
Fr. Kevin Roelant appointed associate pastor of both St. John the Baptist Parish, Monroe and St. Mary Parish, Monroe, effective July 1, 2019. Fr. Roelant is currently serving as associate pastor of National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica Parish, Royal Oak.
Fr. Joseph Tuskiewicz appointed administrator of St. Priscilla Parish, Livonia, effective July 1, 2019. Fr. Tuskiewicz is currently serving as associate pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish, Lapeer.
