Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following:
Fr. Shafique Masih placed on leave of absence, effective Oct. 5, 2023, following an allegation of misconduct involving an adult. This matter, which was reported by the Archdiocese of Detroit to civil authorities, is now under a criminal investigation. Fr. Masih has been serving the Nankin Family of Parishes, St. Mary Parish, Wayne; St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy Parish, Westland; St. Richard Parish, Westland; and St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Garden City.
