Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:
Fr. Thomas Simon Lobo, SAC, with the concurrence of his superior, Very Reverend Roque Gonsalves, SAC, appointed Full-time Priest Support at Our Lady of Loretto Parish, Redford; St. Genevieve-St. Maurice Parish, Livonia; St. John XXIII Parish, Redford; and St. Valentine Parish, Redford, that form the Mother of Divine Love Family of Parishes, effective Nov. 5, 2024. Fr. Lobo will serve primarily at Our Lady of Loretto Parish, Redford, and St. Valentine Parish, Redford, under the mentorship of Fr. Socorro Fernandes, SAC. Fr. Lobo currently serves outside of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Fr. Edward Traczyk, SChr., with the concurrence of his superior, Very Reverend Jacek Walkiewicz, SChr, appointed Full-time Priest Support at Mother of Divine Mercy Parish, Detroit; Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish, Hamtramck; St. Florian Parish, Hamtramck; St. Hyacinth Parish, Detroit; and St. John Paul II Parish, Detroit, that form Genesis Vicariate Family 1, effective Oct. 12, 2024. Fr. Traczyk will live and serve primarily at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish, Hamtramck, under the mentorship of Fr. Gregory Tokarski. Fr. Traczyk previously served outside of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
