Archdiocese of Detroit clergy announcements: April 15, 2024

Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:

Msgr. Ronald Browne appointed a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Holy Name Parish, Birmingham; Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Beverly Hills; St. Owen Parish, Bloomfield Hills; St. Regis Parish, Bloomfield Hills, that form West Maple Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2024. Pending inclusion in the Family Priests’ Covenant, Msgr. Browne will have primary care of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Beverly Hills. Additionally, Msgr. Browne has been appointed episcopal vicar for services as the regional moderator of the Northwest Region, effective July 1, 2024. Msgr. Browne currently serves as judicial vicar of the Metropolitan Tribunal, and priest weekend support at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Beverly Hills.

Fr. Salvatore Palazzolo to be appointed judicial vicar of the Metropolitan Tribunal, effective July 1, 2024. Fr. Palazzolo currently serves in the Metropolitan Tribunal and as priest weekend support at St. Mary Mystical Rose Parish, Armada; Holy Family Parish, Memphis; and St. Augustine Parish, Richmond.

Fr. Christopher Talbot appointed moderator and a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Detroit; Sacred Heart Parish, Detroit; St. Augustine and St. Monica Parish, Detroit; St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Detroit; and St. Elizabeth Parish, Detroit, that form Detroit Lower Eastside Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2024. Pending inclusion in the Family Priests’ Covenant, Fr. Talbot will live and serve primarily at St. Augustine and St. Monica Parish, Detroit. Fr. Talbot currently serves as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor St. Isidore Parish, Macomb; St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Shelby Township; St. Francis of Assisi-St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Ray Township, that form Disciples Unleased Family of Parishes, primarily serving at St. Francis of Assisi-St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Ray Township.
